From the information provided, it appears the sign will project into the right-of-way of High Street NE; however, is unclear from the information provided how far the proposed sign will project. The sign will not be permitted to extend past the existing canopy that covers the sidewalks along High Street NE; a detailed site plan will be required at time of Building Permit. We recommend that the application be conditioned to obtain any necessary structural Building Permits to ensure that the sign is structurally sound and does not pose a risk to the public right-of-way. In addition, we recommend that a condition of approval be established to ensure the applicant obtain a Revocable License to Encroach prior to issuance of a Building Permit for this sign.
