Section B. Information Collected and How It Is Used
Information provided by a user of this website as part of an online transaction is used only for the purpose of completing and recording the transaction. Information requested by the City will be no more specific than if a visitor were engaging in the transaction by other means, including by telephone or in-person visit to a City facility. Section C. Password-Protected Areas; Security
Certain areas of this website are restricted to authorized users through the use of usernames and passwords. If you are an authorized user of any area requiring a username or password, you agree that you are fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username, password, and other account information. You also agree that you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your username(s) and password(s). If you have elected to receive additional communications from the City, City of Salem Permit Application Center website will only send information in categories that have been authorized. All email notifications to you from the Permit Application Center will also instruct you how to stop receiving them. Updating Contact Information. The City wants to ensure that your information and preferences are accurate and complete. Permit Application Center Website does not automatically update or change your personal information. You must update your personal information, including your email address or phone number, by visiting your account at https://egov.cityofsalem.net/PACPortal.
Viewing your Permit Application Center Information. You may view your Permit Application information online by accessing your account at https://egov.cityofsalem.net/PACPortal. Information related to registration status, payment history, applications, permit status, license status may be viewed online.
Billing and payment history will be available on the Permit Application Center website for viewing and printing. The City reserves the right to determine the period of time such history is available through the Permit Application Center website. If additional billing or payment history is needed, contact the City of Salem Permit Application Center at 555 Liberty St SE, Suite 320, Salem, Oregon 97301.
Payment. Payments for building permits, land use applications, parking permits, licenses, transient occupancy tax, and other items can be made on the City of Salem Permit Application Website. Payment options include:

Refund of Payment. Should any refund of a payment be requested and granted, refunds will be issued by paper check or electronically at the City’s sole discretion. Electronic refunds will be issued to the credit card or bank account from which the funds were originally drawn. Refunds by paper check will be issued to the name and address of the Permit Application Center account holder.

While the City attempts to provide accurate information on this website, all information is provided “as is” and "with all faults."
