Sean Mansfield met on site: Refer to this permit, the sprinkler permit 21-109741 and building permit 20-116387 for how this was constructed. The UGFL has some detail, the Sprinkler has the PIV and FDC Detail and the Bldg has the riser detail.
ISSUES:
No cover was inspected. It is backfilled and graded at this time. Several pictures were taken and show of thrust block at riser and the 90 degree joint. Covered at own risk. Any future exposure or changes, the contractor will call for a cover.
1) Move PIV and and DFM will conduct a cover inspection of that and possibly the riser and 90 at that time.
2) Contractor will verify the property line identification with public works.
3) Contractor will verify with public works if a double check will be needed in a vault.
-That may require a vault that is not on any plans.
- Vault may require supervised tampers and sump pump.
4) PIV will need to be electronically supervised.
5) Any modifications will need revisions submitted for review. We advised the contractors the need for obtaining approved sets permit revisions before making any changes to what's been done already.
6) The riser will need a 2" seismic clearance around the pipe coming into the building.
7) Discussed potentially moving the FDC to avoid future fence issues with accessibility. |

Watch for a cover inspection when they move the PIV, access to the FDC (gates/fence), and seismic around the riser. The other issues have been resolved via a phone conversation with Sean Mansfield and PW Doug Priest. |
