Fire department access is required to be provided within 150 feet of all portions of the exterior of the building. The fire flow will be determined based on the total fire area and type of construction. Fire hydrants are required to be located within 400 feet of all portions of the exterior of the structure (600 with an approved fire sprinkler system). The fire department connection shall be within 100 feet of a fire hydrant and the hose lay shall be along an approved route. Note: all measurements are made along an approved path. |
