2 1/21/2020 Curtis Pellatz Revisions Requested Email sent to [email protected] & [email protected] Good Morning, Public Works has performed a preliminary review of the Civil Site Work plans submitted for the development located at 1965 Claxter Road NE. Please see the attached Plan Review Comments (PRC1) memo, and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. However, it appears that there are several items that are needed to complete the Site Plan Review application (City Permit No. 19-123697-RP). Please continue to work with the assigned Planner, Brandon Pike (503-540-2326). Thank you, Curt Pellatz Program Manager City of Salem | Public Works Department 555 Liberty St SE, Suite 325, Salem OR 97301-3513 [email protected] | 503-588-6211 Facebook | Twitter |YouTube| CityofSalem.net

You should be receiving a separate email with instructions to access the Plan Review Comments. It seems that Staff comments are consistent regarding the plans need to comply with the City of Salem Public Works Design Standards as mentioned in my email below. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. If your Civil Engineer would like to set up a virtual meeting with City Staff, we may be able to make arrangements. Please feel free to check in with me next week for a status update. Please note, I have received a few comments in regard to the plans and the completeness of the submittal. Engineering Staff may only make general comments since not all the required information is shown on the construction plans. For example, the PWDS require Plan and Profile views of all the public utility infrastructure (Fire Service Connection and the off-site Sanitary Sewer). I would recommend reviewing the City of Salem Public Works Design Standards (PWDS) Drafting Standards (ie. Section 2.4, 2.9, 2.10, and 2.11) https://www.cityofsalem.net/cityDocuments/administrative-rule-109-001_109-007-public-works-design-standards.pdf Thank you, Curt Pellatz Program Manager

8 6/16/2020 Curtis Pellatz Revisions Requested Hiro, Our Engineering Department has determined that the off-sanitary sewer upsize, as required by the Site Plan Review Decision, would be a good candidate for pipe-bursting rather than an open trench replacement. This is an attempt to save the trees in the Public ROW. Please discuss with your client, Civil Engineer, and if possible the Contractor to discuss if this is a viable option. If you want more information, I would suggest contacting Don Whitehurst at 503-588-6211x7313. Please see the two attached files (PRC4). Of course, if you chose to pursue the pipe-burst option, the Engineers Estimate will need to reflect that. Thank you, -Curt | 503-588-6211 ext. 7442
