FIRE has concerns with the Site Plan Review. It does not appear aerial access will be required. If the building height exceeds 30 feet from the lowest level of fire department access to the roof eave aerial access will be required. It does not appear fire department access is provided through the site as the 28/48 turn radii are not met. Sheet SDR3 shows potential issues at Linburg and VC Loop, VC Loop to both the east and west at the apartment access, Heritage to both the east and west apartment access, Heritage and Chapel, and the private street both east and west to the apartment access on sheet SDR4.
Fire hydrants will be required within 100 feet of any FDC. FDC and hydrant locations shall not obstruct fire department access when hoses are connected during firefighting operations. Sheet SDR14 shows the FDC and fire hydrant over 100 feet apart and the hose lay would obstruct the private apartment access road between buildings 6 and 7.
