The Aztecs developed a civilization that at first glance is totally alien from ours. During this course we will delve into not only the history but spend most of the time delving into their religion, their commerce, and their everyday life. The Aztecs' society was a total theocracy in which all activities either directly or indirectly supported their theocratic system. But the Aztecs were much more than a people who practiced human sacrifice and warred upon their neighbors. They also had a surprisingly deep, thoughtful, and tender side. Learning about this civilization will give you insights into our own civilizations and its origins. 5-Class Course
