Event Organizer Information:

Block Party Information:

Team Visit:

We DO NOT release personal or block party info, however, we routinely get requests for block party locations from outside entities (Ex. media, politicians, chruches, non-profits).
Do YOU AUTHORIZE US to release the information you provided on this form?

A team of Salem police officers and various crime prevention and local business mascots will be visiting block parties throughout our city. It is that you specify the time your party will begin and end. Please note, our ability to send teams will be based on the total number of parties registered. We will do our very best to accommodate all requests we receive.

If you are closing a street, then traffic cones, “no parking” signs, and barricades are available for use on a first-come, first-served basis from the Public Works Department. You may pick up equipment at City Shops, 1435 22nd Street SE, Building 4, Salem OR 97301 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Monday, July 31, or on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

Equipment must be returned between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. The user group must pick up and return equipment in a clean, reusable condition. The requesting organization must agree to comply with the provisions for use of City equipment and is responsible for any loss of and/or damage to equipment.

Should you have the need for change of time, location or to cancel, please call the Crime Prevention Unit at 503-588-6175 as soon as possible before July 28.

Often we take photos and/or audio/video at the various block parties visited by the teams. The images are shared for viewing by the community on our web page or other means to demonstrate Salem's community unitiy against crime. If you do not wish for photos to be taken, please inform the team member.
