Why are you allowing new construction in green spaces that we will never get back? The KMart off Mission has been empty for years, has adequate parking and is on a bus line. Instead, you are building in an area that is already full of houses, including new houses that were built on a green space that could have been preserved, has terrible bus lines, and has roads that can't be expanded. A few years ago, the city bragged about the parks they had and how "green" they were. If you're already preserving a tree in that space, why not just preserved the whole area as a park or walking area for people and pets. We need more greenspaces for carbon reduction and beautification. Otherwise, the city is being more greedy than green. You should turn that space into a park and put houses in areas that are already paved or vacant without any beautiful spaces. Please do what's best for the future of the land and the people, not the short term income that will cram more people into an already crowded space.
